LATEST SNOW OVERVIEW

The Alps saw moderate snowfall in the early part of the week, with accumulations of up to 20-50cm recorded across the Alps, with the North Westerly resorts in France and Switzerland seeing the best riding opportunities, especially when coupled with the warming sunny days that followed. Thursday brought rising temperatures to the Alps alongside renewed cloud cover. This delivered fresh snow to many resorts predominantly in the west, though also the risk of rain.

The Pyrenees continues to see improving conditions, with resorts in Andorra seeing light snowfall this week to refresh the larger quantities that have fallen earlier in the month. Japan continues to offer great skiing, with Niseko in particular having seen 98cm of fresh snow this week already.

The USA continues to see improving conditions, with more fresh snow arriving over the Rockies this week. New snow also fell over many more isolated resorts, including Jackson Hole and Timberline. There is the risk of rain damaging recent snowfall across New England however due to unseasonably high conditions. Canada continues to see very low temperatures and continuing snowfall which shows little sign of relenting any time soon.
