Our 2019 highlights.

As another great year draws to a close, we'd like to share some stats on the top ski resorts from 2019.

One of the many new features we introduced this year included snow history pages. These aim to help our users research when and where to go on future trips. Below you can see the top #5 resorts in the past 12 months for: Bluebird days (Fresh snow, mostly sunny, light wind), most snow days and most consecutive snow days. (Only resorts with at least 1 lift have been included).

Most Bluebird Powder Days?

#1 Mount Dobson, New Zealand: 35 days

From the well groomed slopes for the beginners and intermediates through to the soft and smooth powder that will test the best, Mount Dobson offers a challenge for all levels of skiers and boarders. The nearest airport to Mount Dobson is Timaru.

Ajigasawa is a small ski resort with just 5 ski lifts but it does boast a very impressive 525 metres (1723 feet) of vertical descent. Aomori Spring has 14 pistes and is best suited to beginner skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for both expert and intermediates. The nearest train station to Aomori Spring is at Hirosaki.

La Punt/Engadin is best suited to beginner skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for both expert and intermediates. The nearest airport is at Innsbruck.
