As spring takes hold across the Northern Hemisphere, snow conditions are rapidly evolving across key mountain regions. Europe sees a striking contrast between warm Alpine valleys and wintry Scandinavia, while North America balances fresh powder with accelerating melt. In Asia, Japan’s season shifts into a classic spring mix, with deep snowpacks holding strong in places despite rising temperatures.

Spring conditions are taking hold across North America, with up to 60cm of fresh snow bringing brief powder days to the western US. However, rising temperatures are accelerating snowmelt across most regions, while the Canadian Rockies continue to offer the best late-season conditions. Many resorts are also wrapping up their season following the Easter weekend.

Spring is advancing across Europe, with Alpine valleys exceeding +20°C and accelerating snowmelt. However, higher elevations still offer excellent conditions for spring skiing and firn touring thanks to recent snowfall of up to 1.5m, while Scandinavia remains wintry with 20–30cm of fresh snow.
